When alcohol consumes your soul,

Your brain isn't aligned,

And you lose control.

For the slightest bit

When you reach out for a cup of tea

For when you glanced at a book I might like

Sometimes,

I do wish we have never met

I do wish you don't cross my mind.

Why do we fall so hard, so fast

Yet we heal so slowly,

Yet we forget in a leisure manner.

What have we done to ourselves

That we think love is something worthwhile

To put yourself through such an agonising route.


Is love really as incredible as people make it to be?


But then,

I think back

To all the memories we share

To all the conversations we had


So I stop and thank the universe,

For you, and I

Were placed in the same place

The same time

And got to cross path.
